So if you know me then you know that I am engaged to the user (.TJ.) and well my matron of honor is my sister but....well let me explain.
Last year my sister got married, our older sister (who lives in Holland) was supposed to be her matron of honor but couldn't make it, so instead my sister made me her maid of honor. I could tell she didn't want me to be her maid of honor, she wanted her friend Misty to do it but I think she was just trying to be nice. Anyways she wouldn't let me help with anything and yet went to Misty for help.....this ticked me off a little but that's not the point. So anyways, I'm not a person that likes conflict, I just sort of.....go with the flow, so when I told them I was getting married my sister asked "So, whose your maid of honor?" after realizing she was wanting me to say her I jumped the gun and said "you are jenny!" but....well I have never regretted saying anything more. She doesn't help me at all, and anytime I ask her for advice her answer is "yeah that's fine, just go with that one." every....single....time. My brother is also engaged and put it this way, every time his fiancee Karly is over my sister Jenny is all over talking about wedding stuff with her but she wont say as much as two word on the topic with me..... so I'm doing everything myself seeing as the only time my fiance isn't working and is home he is asleep so....I just.....I need help. So after around five different themes TJ and I finally decided on a good one, Renaissance-Fantasy Forest. We want it to be outside and whatnot but I'm really having a hard time finding a wedding dress that looks like it belongs in the renaissance days but doesn't look.....like I'm a grandma? So....I've been looking and looking and looking and I found this one http://www.dressilyme.com/wedding-ap...ress-pd-11102/ but it almost looks....grecian? This dress >>>> http://www.medievalbridalfashions.com/nowandforever.htm <<<< is....amazing, everything I want, this could very well be THE dress its just... money is an issue so and in there is says that it's 2,400.... so yeah ![]() Also I want to know what your opinion on the fact that TJ and I have decided to change the ceremony vows to something like this >>>> http://www.wedding-des-moines.com/20...dding-dresses/ <<<<< (look under Ceremony) And another problem would be the brides maids dresses.....I have looked and googled everything I can and have come up with....nothing if you could give me a site or something I could look through I would really love that. I also have some other questions but I feel like they maybe a little to.....racey? to ask here....it involves the wedding night and what I should wear.Basically I just need help if you could give me some advice on this matter I would really love you. Oh and if this is in the wrong forum feel free to move it.Thank you in advance, Kelsey. "I never heard you, but I hear you.

Personally, I'm in love with TheKnot. I've been obsessed with wedding dresses for years and they have a large selection.
That said, however, there are a ton of dresses on there. I know they have Renaissance-y dresses on there, but it could take a good amount of searching. There are also bridesmaids dresses on there in any color and whatever you can imagine. Honestly, I think if you pick a color theme, it'll help a lot.Do you have any ideas what color(s) you want? What kind of sleeves? What cut? Honestly, I'd highly suggest going to a place that sells wedding dresses to try some on to see what sort of cuts look good on you and whatnot. Also, shopping for dresses online is really risky and can turn out very badly, so be careful! Here are some other links I found: http://www.faeriebrides.com/wedding-...collection.php "Love me for me, accept the fact I'm true, live like I want, fufill my dreams, Dream of me, run out free, capture your words and never let them go." I'll see you on the other side. |

Well for my dress I'm wanting I have decided on a few simple things I am looking for, I want those sleeves that are cut away from the dress that you just pull up on your arm so you can choose not to wear them? Do you know what I mean? And then I would like for the bodice look at least somewhat like a corset, you know how the older ones are kind of stiff and don't have much shape besides a slight upside down triangle? I think my body type would benefit most from that, and then I want kind the skirt to be kind of poofy but not over the top poofy with a small train. I would prefer it to be white with either gold or a deep color detail but I'm willing to have something ivory to light gold color if that's all they have. As for fabric I have no preferance, though I do like Taffeta, Satin and Organza but again I don't really have a want for a certain one....but I'm feeling like I'm being too picky you know? Like I'm not finding anything because I'm searching for so much....
For the bidesmaids (I'm going to have roughly six of them) Ihad found this one site that specialized in renaissancedresses (I think it was for like RPG's or something) and they had this beautiful green dress with gold on it and it was only for like $100 plus like $40 for this really cute belt and I got time to copy the picture and save it but my computer cashed and I wasn't able to save the link here are the two pictures I was able to save from the site.![]() ![]() So I want something like that, floor length, preferably a darker green with a thin fabric, maybe some gold in the detail to make it seem brighter and long sleeves. I'm not completely sure about the color scheme yet, mostly I just want the wedding to be outside preferably near lots of trees or in a forest or something along hose lines (seeing as we live in California and the wedding with be in August I figure it will be nice and warm outside) so I want there to be lots of green and brown and then I want flowers everywhere of all colors so pretty much I just want lots of color which I'm hoping the flowers and whatnot will bring it in so it doesn't look like there is too much green, I want them to be bright colors like baby blue or pink and yellow, colors that make you think of spring time.....I hope I'm making sense ![]() Oh....Sorry this is so long by the way :P just when people ask me about the detailing I like to make sure they can get a clear idea of what I'm trying to say.
