Need clothing advice.. - November 24th 2011, 01:46 AM

What style of clothes should you wear if your waist isn't defined at all?

Cuz my waist is almost non-existent. I'm not overweight or anything, I just have no definition to my waist, and it tends to make me look chubby.

Maybe shirts that just flow around your waist, that would be pretty, or even a dress that is loose would make you more secure. But don't worry too much about it I have the same problem, and I wear whatever I wanna wear haha.

Wear what you think makes you look good and comfortable. As long as you feel comfortable then thats all that matters.

I know it sounds weird coming from a guy but Ive always known girls to wear dresses with belts just above the waist to enhance the look. I don't know if thats the look you are going for but its just a though

- Agreed, belts are your friend. You can belt almost anything and even though I have a waist I use them to define it. Thick ones, thin ones, different colours, braided belts, sometimes I even wear two at a time - but belts are probably the easiest make-a-waist trick.
-Wrap dresses do the same thing sans belt.
-Fitted blazers and vests can help create a silhouette (actually, make that a rule for most clothing - fit is important and will help)
-If you've got layers on and the top one is buttoned, buttoning just the middle portion - but this doesn't look good with all clothing.

At the same time, don't automatically dismiss any type of clothing. Maybe hit up a thrift store and pull every type of cut/fit/style off the racks and give them all a shot to see what best suits your body..
