I have a 40 dollar gift card to sephora and I was thinking about buying makeup but I am running low on facial cleanser but I think I could get something cheaper and still work well so yeah what makeup should I get?

It depends, what makeup do you already have, and from that what products do you already love? I would sort that out and figure out what you need and then search around Sephora until you find something you like. And I agree, you can get cheaper facial cleansers that work well.

Agreed with Nicole! Check out your supply of make up you already have (if you have any, that is) and see what's running low.
If not, I'd check out some of these products (bare with me. I've never shopped at Sephora. As I said, I've never shopped at Sephora, so I don't know what they would have there in terms of product names. But, I'm assuming they'd have everything that a regular store would have, just different brands.
Those eye shadow kits would be amazing, and as I said above, they come in specific colors for YOUR eye color. Makes for an amazing look. They might have some full make up kits that come with everything like eye shadows, brushes, eye liners & lip glosses, so keep an eye out for those as well. Also, make sure you invest in some make-up remover. Those will help a lot as well! Why not go into Sephora and ask them for help! They can look at your eye color, lip color/shape, skin tone and figure out what you need to look your best. Or recommend certain products that you can later decide from.

It can also be fun to take a friend and just go in the store and look around. Getting a friend's opinion is always helpful, and you two can look for products that you would use.
