My advice is rather than blindly buying perfume from online, go into a department store such as Macy's and sample some of their perfumes until you find one you like.
Perfume can smell a bit different for everyone, and everyone has their own preference for scents. So to find one you like, the best way is to test them for yourself. With purchasing perfume, you definitely want to smell it ahead of time. We can tell you what we like, but it doesn't necessarily mean that's what you like. Maybe go out to some stores and sample some. I hate to admit it but the Justin Bieber perfume smells so freakin' good to me

Definitely go to a mall store like JC Penny's and try a bunch of different perfumes before you buy. I just got some amazing perfume called Pavo from a local makeup store.

As others have said, you typically want to buy perfume in person so you can smell it for yourself ahead of time. I get mine from either Victoria's Secret or Bath & Body Works.

Sephora sells great perfumes (only they get a bit expensive) and you can test them out as much as you want in the store. I love the brand LAVANILLA.

I LOVE Cleopatra by Tocca-- you can get it at Sephora, Amazon, etc. Just gotta google it!

I adore Avril Lavigne's Forbidden Rose and Wild Rose perfumes, but those are expensive.
 I also like most Bath and Body Works perfumes (and they have a site, although I do suggest you sample them first). My favorites are Carried Away, Black Amethyst, and Paris Amour.
