Re: my new hair - August 26th 2012, 05:43 AM

Greetings!

I see nothing wrong with going blue. Be sure to follow the directions exactly on that lightener though because 40vol is really strong and we wouldn't want your hair getting fried. So don't leave it on longer than the directions say, or if it starts burning your skin, and use a leave in conditioner to help repair your hair. I assume you've not colored your hair before (?) so it should lighten fairly well. It's easier if you have someone to help you. Also, my experience with blue hair is that it usually fades to a strange greenish color... but if you are commited to keep it up it can look cool for as long as you want. It's harder to color your hair back to its natural color than it is to lighten and color it blue though, so it is kind of something you should be sure about.

Also, I don't know if you'll be attending school soon, but when I was in school it was not "dress code acceptable" to have "unnatural" haircolor, so you may want to check on that. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones who would be allowed to.

Take care and Have fun!
