Wink New hair :D - August 7th 2009, 08:23 PM

What do you think? I love it, though I'm not loving my bangs.. what's new haha.

How would I be able to get the chunky layers to stand out like what I have in my picture? I messed it up with my hands to get that, but as soon as I shake my head it's back to being sleek. Not a bad look, it just looks better chunky.

yeah my hairs the same it just wont stay the way i want it to! use gel and hairspray, extra strong if nothing else works and ive been told sugar water helps to, but thats very sticky (havent used it myself)

I love the layers! Use hairstyling wax and hairspray to keep it that way. Less wax, more hairspray.

Brush gel through your hair by running your fingers through it, put it like that, sit still for a minute.

I absolutely love it.

I so want hair like yours
Try using a gel or mousse to style it.

I love your hair

when i'm feeling sort of "messed up hair" day i use V05 extreme style [reWork] which is great it's like super duper strong so doesn't start to drop after a while and it's designed so you can well rework your hair through the day and stuff

Re: New hair :D - August 10th 2009, 10:17 AM

Thank you everybody :]

@Wonderbread
got2b glued would be way too strong I think. I used to use it so I know it's texture, just don't think it would do very nicely.

I'll try hairspray, have some fibre putty I'm going to get into, I figure it would be the same as V05 extreme style [reWork] seeing as it's by Alberto as well. If that fails me as well I just might go out and buy some wax.

What's the difference between wax and fibre putty?

You've always got such awesome hair.

When I had a similar cut, I used wax to keep it in place. Just be sure not to use TOO much wax, or you'll end up with the "homeless, haven't showered in a week" look instead of the chunky style you're going for.

@Boo Ghost
That color happens to be the product of not being dyed in four months, heat styling, being washed in hot water with shampoo for red hair and just general -get-out-of-my-hair tactics haha. It used to be bright blue

@Jessie
Ugh, I know that all too well. That's all I got when I tried using the fibre putty I have, thus why I still have almost a full jar.

Loveloveloveloveloveloveloveloveit!!
To get the chunky-er look, maybe try mousse? or "bed head" products I know work well to separate and make it look choppyer. But love it :]

Be soft.
