Volumizing/Body Shampoo? - September 7th 2009, 12:37 AM

So.. I have very fine hair, I think It's because I style my hair so much. I need a little pick me up for my hair. I need to build body and have some extra volume when I flat-iron and style.

The only two I've used are Sunsilk and Ulta brand. I hated the Sunsilk and I don't use store brands often. But the Ulta was actually a great deal, and so far, I find it worth it.

Anyone have recommendations?

I have the exact oppisite problem, mass amounts of hair. But for lots of body I recommend BIG by LUSH, i've had a couple friends use it and they LOVE it, might be worth a try. http://www.lushusa.com/shop/products...d-shampoos/big

I'd also suggest using a volumising mousse rather than [or as well as] a different shampoo. Simply put a little mousse on your fingertips, rub onto the roots of your hair and blowdry your hair upside down. That'll probably make a much bigger difference than using a different shampoo. As for the mousse itself, I usually just use Vo5 or shockwaves.

I am a fan of Herbal Essence, it smells sooo good, plus they have a volumizing kind I believe. Moose can work, but if you don't want to take that extra step, blowdrying your hair upside down works wonders for me! Use a hairbrush to straighten your hair out upsidedown and then go through each part of your hair with really hot air. To keep it fluffy throughout the day, I throw my hair upsidedown and shake it around a little and then whip it back. It usually works =]

Hope this helped.

HERBAL ESSENCE SUCKS! Lol. Sorry guys. =P

I used a volumizing shampoo and conditioner from Bain De Terre. I like it a lot so far.

Pantene shampoos are the best. The Treatments can help you with your fine hair.

I actually like Pantene. I was interested, but a little skeptical of the Thick and Full one... But I might try it just because you gave me a recommendation.

I hear Pantene is awful actually- apparently it puts some wax thing in your hair when you wash it and makes your hair gross after a while (this is just what I heard from my friends hairdresser)

Yes I actually use the cruls shampoo and the treatment and it actually really works for me at least.
There is also the Volume Shampoo that helps with your volume of hair. Plus I love the smell of Pantene.
