Hair Color Noob - October 30th 2009, 11:34 PM

I colored my hair for the first time last weekend. I'm wondering how I should be caring for it and if anyone has any product recommendations. I use John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner, and I also want to know what porduct I should use before I straighten my hair? Thanks for your help!

I use the Redken line. I think it works miracles, pretty much. As far as product to use before you straighten your hair, I use Chi Silk Iron Guard 44, I think. These products are slightly more expensive, but I personally find it worth it. (: Are you likin' the new hair colour?

just use any normal heat protection spray before you straighten it.. you don't have to spend loads of money on an expensive one. as for shampoo, the john frieda one is pretty good from what i've heard so just stick with that. so long as you get a shampoo for coloured hair theres not much between all the highstreet brands.

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..
