Crappy hair questions. - September 3rd 2010, 12:39 AM

Basically I hate my hair.
My hair has been thinnerish most of my teenage years and now it's driving me crazy.
I can only style it certain ways or it looks bad.
Does anyone else have thin hair?
And how do you style it?

I love how whenever I dye it black some of the hair dye stays on my scalp so it looks thicker. Is there some way other than that to help? I've tried the volumizing shampoo's and blah blah blah they don't seem to help.
If I can't find something else i'm just going to the doctor and see. Because when I was younger my hair was thicker. People say it's from when I dye my hair but I don't think it's that.
(When I say thin I mean it just like one area ish. So when I part it you can't notice it. So not a huge problem, just annoys me I can't style it some ways without it looking weird.)

And to make matters worse!
I have premature greying.
-_- awesome.

Last year I started to notice like...one random grey hair every three months?
I thought it was just like a mutation in the folicle and thought nothing of it.
Later on I found three at once.
Now I have a scheduled time of when to dye my hair before I even get one grey!
So once again...anyone else have this awesome problem or issue as well?

Because I hate it.
I hate my hair.
I hate this.
I hate my genes.
I think it's my genes.
I blame my dad.
I don't like him.

Anyway. Now i'm ugh again just typing it out.
Hair restoration!
That sucks. At 19!

I'll do whatever it takes to be the mistake you can't live without.

Hey, my oldest brother started getting the occasional grey at 12 years old, whereas my mom didn't get them til she was 40. So it definitely varies.

As far as the thin hair issue, well, I doubt it's from dying it (since I dye mine, and its still thick. And my sister is the same way), it also may be a genetic thing. Ever try a bit of back-combing for volume? If it won't work on its own, try back-combing and hair spray combined? It's how Goths of the 80's got their hair big.

My aunt was completely white by the time she was 17, it just depends on the person. Maybe you could use extensions, or try back-combing it.

My hair is thin, too I honestly don't know what to do with it.

How long is your hair? Having shorter hair helps it appear a little thicker as there is less weight pulling it down. I've been trying to grow my hair but I think I'll end up cutting a couple of inches off soon and having it a little longer than shoulder length.

I used to backcomb it a lot aswell, which does make hair thicker, but it isn't the healthiest option. It also just looks backcombed, as opposed to look lovely and thick.

I wish their was a better solution I truely hate my hair. Nothing seems to work.
