Smile Highlights - September 21st 2010, 02:48 AM

So my mom said that I could get any color highlights that I want... I know that I don't just want blonde or some other hair color though. I was thinking pink, is that a good idea?
If not, any other suggestions?

(Uh, I was going to post a pic here, but I couldn't figure out how so I'll just change my avatar for you to see my hair color.)

I have a friend who went red. I don't particulary like colors such as pink but if that is what you want go for it I suppose. I am getting my hair done Thursday and I am going to be changing it up; I am going to be adding burgandy to it, hopefully, and that is enough color for me. I like to go subtle but nice.

You COULD do a blonde colour, or a dark brown, and put a colour on the underside.

My sister had a dark blonde/light brown colour with bright pink underneath, and it was subtle, but still made a statement (especially when she wore her hair up).

So if you want to do that, I don't see why not.

It depends what colour your hair is. If it's dark, then you'll need blonde/bleach highlights on first before you have pink or any colour like that. Because if your hair is dark, no 'highlights' will show unless your hair has been lightened first.

If your hair isn't so dark, then it still might be best to bleach it first to get the pink to look the best it could look though.

I've done the whole crazy hair thing before so message me if you have any more questions Take care!
