SO,

i have like mousy blonde hair right now,
and for haloween im dying the top layers royal blue and the bottom layers black.
Felt like you all needed to know.

Anyone have any ideas of how i should go about actually dying it? (:

Since its halloween dont do pernament dye or anything like that, (unless you want it to stay that way for awhile, aha)

Just get some spray die. it washes out right away with shampoo. You can get some at walgreens, walmart, meijer, target, halloween shops, almost anywhere. this is some that ive gotten:

not that exact brand, but, close enough. i got black and hot pink :'D

style your hair the way you want it first. then clip half up on top of your head. spray the bottom half black in long strokes (depending on how long your hair is) about 8-10 inches away from your head. do that untill your satisfied.

Then once it dries maybe put a towel around the hair or get a piece of foil and just kinda wrap it around your head (not covering your face) and then let the top layers fall on top of it, so you dont mix the blue in with the black.

Spray the top layers blue, and dont concentrate on one area too much, or itll get extremely hard and flat and just ewww. lol. Keep in mind this stuff dries kinda like hairspray, usually. So it will be kinda hard, depending on how much you use.

Then take the foil off and shake your hair out.

Hey Robyn,

I agree with the above poster. If you don't want it permanent then I would suggest just a spray on hairspray colour instead of an actual dye. Otherwise you might find it very hard to get the blue out without a darker dye or a bleach. As for the dark underneath, that could be permanent or semi-perm. But I would advise that you go to a hair salon to get that done. Splitting the hair in two halves and only dying one half dark can be very difficult and if not done right, could end up a disaster.
