Dread Awareness -
November 24th 2010, 03:53 AM
I'm so confused on why everyone thinks that dreads are unclean. Yes, there are people that don't wash their dreads but there are people that don't wash their regular hair. Anyways, I thought I would raise awareness on dreads. They should be wash regularly. You can start them a million differnet ways. It depends on your hair texture and personality. Dreads are for anybody. You should have a reaon to get dreads. Mine is beauty, being unique, growth in mind, body, and spirit. Any questions...ask away. Ill be glad to answer.

I think it's great that you have dreads. I went on a mission trip this year and one of the counselors there had dreads. Dreads are pretty awesome, and as long as the person with dreads washes them regularly, they look great.

I actually adore how dreads look. I was thinking of getting some. However, I have absolutely no idea how to go about it.
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

I keep going through phases where I want them D=
I like them, but they can look trampy, people should keep their hair tidy ¬.¬ And it's only really extremist hippies that are like 'noooo, don't wash your hair' 'And in the garden, lust began The animal instinct, the wanton man She fed him with a hunger, an appetite And fillin' with emotion he took a bite' Def Leppard - Women |

I've always liked how they looked but they're a bit too permanent for me, I constantly want to change the style and colour. I wouldn't mine getting those fake ones that are made of wool that you stick in somehow though

There are many different ways depends on hair type and personal perference. They're not permeant if you change your mind. The wool dreads are always nice too.
