Black is a very, very dominant colour. In my experience, it'll cover anything assuming it's Jet black.

At the very most, you might have a tint of red that can be seen in sunlight/bright lights but I seriously doubt that.

I agree, black is a very dominant colour so I'd assume it would completely cover up any of the red.

From experience I've found that Jet black genuinly covers it, but sometimes you ge a red tint in sun light but that still looks good. I dye my own hair alot and It gets covered easily but if in doubt consult a hair dresser. They have better dying kit's that shop brought.

I've always loved dark hair colors. Too bad I'm a blonde haha. I agree with above, black should cover all of the red.

I'd be more worried you'll never see your red again.

I died my hair black when I was 14. At 18 I was finally able to cut it all off. I had pretty short hair.

If you dye your red hair black, it will totally cover up the red. It's not a bad thing to do though.

Depending on the brand of the black hair dye and the brand of the red hair dye you might still get a red tinge when light hits your hair.

I like to dye my hair red a lot and when I'm tired of it I always cover it up with black so you'll be fine. Although it's very difficult to get rid of black hair...took lots of bleach to get rid of mine so just be warned about that.
