Hair cut ideas for tomorrow. - January 20th 2011, 04:27 PM

I am getting my hair cut tomorrow and I am kind of bored of my hair now. I have had the same hair forever. The only change was I used to have a full fringe back until '07 and now I have a sweeping side fringe.

I love the colour though so dying it isn't an option.

My hair has always been long and I like being able to tie it up when I don't have time to straighten it. I will also be required to tie it back when I start uni next year because I will be in a hospital.

Here is my hair now:

(This was actually a year and a half ago but it is exactly the same)

It is naturally wavy but the shorter layers do curl if I leave it to dry naturally.

My Mum has shoulder length hair with a side fringe and I don't want my hair cut that sort because then we have matching hairstyles.

I just don't know what to do with it really. My options seem limited and I'm just stuck.

The only idea I have had is I loved Kelly Osbournes hair on Piers Morgan's show.

She had extensions in and her hair ties up into a really long straight pony tail. I just don't know if I would suit my fringe like that with my face shape.

Any ideas welcome just remember no dying and it has to be able to be tied back.

I have an idea.

You would look great with side swiped bangs, or straight across bangs.

As for the hair length, I think just below your collarbone, and some or lots of layers would look great on you!

You are pretty btw. And let us know how it turns out!

Keep the side fringe, and get layers

You'll keep your length, and layers would look so cute on you. It also thins it out a bit, so if you're in a hurry it won't take you as long to straighten it.

I have this style but my hair is brown (not naturally; it's been many colors) and I love it; it's been this way for a couple years. Take my advice; it can be a complicated style, and if you want a really nice job, don't go to the bargain salon a few minutes away. Go to a stylist you trust, or they will butcher it. Personal experience.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM me with any questions (:

Ooh you're hair is close to my color

Haha anyway, you could try doing something with a ponytail, but I think a pixe cut would look very nice with your face, it would fit well, and be quite pretty. ^^ PM me if you want anymore suggestions.

I actually already have layers. You can't see them well in that picture though.

I got to the same hairdressers and have been for years now. I am going to ask her if she has any ideas and what she thinks would be best.

I ended up getting it cut to just past shoulder length and getting a few more layers added to it.

It has made it look a lot thicket and I think it makes me look older. The hairdresser blew it straight which was nice but today I washed it and let it dry naturally and it went really curly because the weight used to pull it straight.

I will post some pictures of my new curly hair when I find the cable for my camera

Thanks Guys.

I was really surprised how it curled but I just love it.
Everyone keeps saying the shorted hair makes me look older...

It is going to be so much easier to do in the morning because I can just wash it, brush it and then leave it to dry while I get ready and it will be curly and nice. It won't take as long to dry and straighten either.

I just need to find a decent heat protection because I don't want to fry my new hair...

it looks lovely! definitely makes you look more sophisticated. really suits you
as for heat protection.. i love ghd thermal protector. smells really nice and it doesn't make your hair greasy at all like some do.
