Shampoo/Conditioner: I reeeeaally like the grapefruit and lemongrass line from Dove.
Styling putty: well, the stuff I use right nao is Tresemme. It works pretty well
Heat protectant: L'oreal something or other It comes in a pink bottle with a silver-looking cap.

"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it.
I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote,
“Dear Jim: I loved your card.”
Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.”
That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.
He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."

Re: What hair brands do you use? - February 5th 2011, 09:33 PM

I consider myself to be quite the hair guru at this point. I've been doing my own hair since I was 11 (both cutting and coloring). I've used so many products over time and am extremely picky about everything I put in my hair since I'm currently trying to grow it out and my hair is extremely prone to damage since it's fine and I've colored it for so long.

Shampoo (depends on how dirty or not my hair is and how recently I've colored my hair:
  • Paul Mitchell STRENGTH: Super Strong Daily Shampoo
  • TIGI Bed Head: Brunette Goddess
  • Shikai: Color Reflect (warm)
  • Fekkai: Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo

Conditioner (I usually mix the first two and leave it on for as long as I can afford. The TIGI stuff is mostly for last resort):
  • Dove Damage Therapy: Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner
  • L'Oreal EverStrong: Reconstruct Conditioner
  • TIGI Bed Head: Urban Antidotes Level 3 Conditioner

Hair Conditioners, Oils, and Leave-In Treatments (put on after showering if I'm not going to blow-dry or straighten my hair, otherwise I skip to the next section):
  • Agadir: Argan Oil Hair Treatment
  • Herbal Essences: Long Term Relationship Leave-In Split End Protector
  • Paul Mitchell STRENGTH: Super Strong Liquid Treatment
  • Matrix Essentials: Solutionist Instacure Leave-In Treatment

Blow-Drying and Straightening Heat Protectants:
  • TIGI S-Factor: Flat Iron Shine Spray Heat Defender
  • TIGI Love, Peave, and the Planet: Freak of Nature Volumizer and Thickener
  • Redken: Blown Away 09 Blow Dry Gel

I use Umberto Giannini shine shampoo and conditioner, and dry shampoo and this amazing thing called backcomb in a bottle. Oh how I love it. Any other product tends to be tony and guy.

You are now officially going to be known to me as the HAIR GURU Keeley
I want you to style my hair one day

And I just use Pantene Shampoo and conditioner hehe. I only use the condition though in the centre to the ends of my hair since I find that if I put the conditioner on my roots it makes my hair slightly greasy looking once it dries . Sooo, any advice on that from anyone? I would use herbal essences but my dad is too cheap to buy that brand

For shampoo and conditioner I use Hello Hydration by Herbal Essences. I don't usually use any other kind of hair products.

Every time I run out of shampoo, I try something new. I have tried a lot of stuff by now

Currently I am using TRESemme, and it is alright.

But my favorite brands are Herbal Essences and Dove

Only Dove for shampoo + conditioner. I went in for a trim today after 1 year. There were hardly any split ends. I believe Dove does wonders for your hair.
As for creme mousse hair gel hairspray, I don't use any of it. I'm not really a products type of girl. I run a comb through my hair and I'm done.

For styling, Toni&Guy. <3 I vary my shampoos and conditioners, at the moment it's Dove.
