I've been blonde my whole life and I really want to try something new. I'm thinking about an auburn or a brown color. Any suggestion on which and what shade?

I would start with a light shade so its not too dramatic right away and if you don't like it you can put it back

I think a light shade of red or brown would work. I'm very hesitant to recommend a darker color due to a nasty experience I had with hair dye when I was twelve. (My hair's a darker blonde than yours is and I accidentally got a single shade too dark of a ten wash dye. It stuck for three months.) However, that's just me. Do what you want; it's your hair.

Actually, I am going to dare to be different and say that a chocolate brown would look really nice against your skin tone
