Manic Panic hair dye - March 16th 2011, 02:49 AM

I just bought some (purple haze) and I'm going to have my aunt do it for me tomorrow. I was just wondering if there are any tips for using it and getting a good outcome. I just want streaks of the color throughout my hair.

I'd appreciate any tips or advice for using this stuff since I've never used it before.

Thank you.

Bleach the streaks you want first, that will help you get the most vibrant color.
Use a shampoo and conditioner set that is made for color treated hair.
Wash your hair with water as cold as you can stand, hot water washes out the dye.
Don't use any styling tools including hair dyers.

If you want added shine and to protect your color a little more invest in a clear hair glaze. They are around $10 and you can find them in most stores that sell hair products.

And here you are living, despite it all.

So what's the most cost-efficient product to use to lighten my hair with?
