People who are experianced with hair dye? -

I found an extra box of red hair dye and I wasn't going to dye my hair for awhile since I don't want to damage it too much because I've dyed it quite a few times in the past few months.
Anyways, I heard that you can add hair dye to shampoo to help keep your color vibrant. Would this work? I'm wondering about the peroxide. If I leave hair dye in its bottle with the seal on, it explodes after a while. Would this happen if I added it to the shampoo? If so, could I just add the color that comes with the box? I've never heard of someone having an issue with that, honestly, and I know a lot of people who do it. I would get all chemistry on you, but it's 10:30 and I'm exhausted, but it's highly unlikely for it to do more than expand a bit, so you should be fine.
