Black to blonde? - March 23rd 2011, 02:08 PM

I've been dying my hair twice a year for the last 3 or 4 years. About a year ago I decided I want it to be its natural color of dirty blonde. I haven't done any dying for over a year, but it still looks black with some blondish brown. I'm finishing my junior year of high school and I was wanting to get my hair back to its natural color and dye the ends blue or lime green this summer for my senior year. My grandma said its best to let it grow out, but its taking forever. If I went to a hair place what would they do to get the black out? Or would it be better to just let it grow out on its own?

You could always go talk to a hair stylist and ask them what the best plan of action is. The thing with blonde hair is, once you dye it a lot, it rarely is the same. Like, I'm a natural blonde, but after dying my hair darker colors for so long, my hair has darkened. So, that may be something you encounter.
But, it won't hurt to go by and talk to someone about it...they'd be able to tell you better

Great works are performed not by strength, but by perseverance.
