No-Poo - May 5th 2011, 08:23 PM

Have you guys heard about that thing where you just stop washing your hair? I'm actually trying it out, and I haven't been doing it long enough to see results, but surprisingly, my hair is not oily or dirty looking, so hopefully I can turn this into long term. I'm currently using baking soda on my hair once a weeek then using apple cider vinegar as a conditioner. Have any of you tried this before? Do you know of any good dry shampoos? Non chemical of course.

Never tried that. Sounds interesting.

I try my best to help, but that doesn't always mean I will be helpful.

Just curious, what benefits does that have for hair?
I know Sephora. Tresseme, and Baltise all have dry shampoos, but I'm pretty sure that they have chemicals.
Here is a brand that is chemical free, but a bit pricey:

Shampoos contain sulfates and other such chemicals that are damaging to your hair. There's quite a few articles on the benefits and results people have acheived from cutting it out of their hair routine entirely. Among them being quicker hair growth, more shine and volume, and eventually less oil, and overall healthy hair. If I have time and rememeber later I'll come by and post a link.

Urban Outfitters sells a selection of organic dry shampoos, here.

I want to try this for in-between washes. Ideally, I'd like to wash my hair every other day but the fresh-out-of-the-shower hair feeling is the best.

I have heard of this, but since I workout almost every day, I don't think I would want to try this.
