Dreadlocks -

What are the pros and cons of having dreadlocks?
If I could, I'd take your pain. I can handle more, whereas you can't. You break so much faster, so much easier than I. I lasted a lifetime, whereas in a few months you think about that escape. That broken soul, it should be ME. ![]() |

Hey Caitlyn,
As far as I'm aware, there are two different types of dreadlocks you can get. Pros - they look awesome Cons - either you can't wash your hair for a long long time, they go greasy, and once they've matted you can't untangle them, you'd have to chop them off... OR you could get a different type where you have to style them every single day. It's probably not as bad as I'm implying - I know people who used to have dreadlocks and changed back to their original (albeit short) hairstyle. But if I were you I'd think carefully about how much you want them, because they can be a bit of a pain to look after. Saying that, they look fantastic, so don't be put off. Let us know what you decide
Maybe it's not my weekend but it's gonna be my year.

Pros - They look awesome, once they've locked they're easy to maintain (no brushing, only washing maybe once or twice a week)
Cons - They can look crap at the start, if you get head lice they're hard to get rid of (though there are ways), they don't suit everybody, and possibly employability (possibly) There are several ways to get dreads though, I personally recommend back combing, it yields quick and the best looking results Quote:
And also, you can get rid of dreads without chopping, but it requires a lot of conditioner and a lot of patience, you will be brushing it for ages, and it will likely hurt and leave your hair in a state, but it will go back to normal in time.
