Maintaining red hair - September 3rd 2011, 12:58 AM

This is such a piss off for me. I've had red hair a couple times in my life, and I think I look soooo adorable with it! But it fades really crazy fast, and ends up looking bad.
Yesterday I dyed my hair a red-ish colour (professionally), and it really faded as soon as I washed it.
I see people walking around town often with hair like Hayley Williams, and it doesn't look fade. I don't get how they manage that.

Any tips, please? :/

Don't wash your hair as often, and when you do use cold water and a shampoo and conditioner made for red hair. Usually, those people do have to dye their hair often to maintain the color as it is the fastest fading color. Garnier Fructise Color Shield works really well for me
Also, sometimes hair just doesn't take the color well, so it is possible your hair just can't take red hair. That or it is too porous so the color isn't sticking well. If you dye your hair often this can happen.
