GHD Straighteners - September 4th 2011, 08:24 PM

I want to buy new straighteners. Mine aren't terrible but they aren't the best either:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Andrew-Colli...5167778&sr=8-7

I may buy some GHD straighteners. My old best friend used to have them and she had quite curly hair, it made her hair look amazingly straight

My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy.

Thing is, I think they're overpriced. Do you think they're worth the price tag? or can you get just as good ones cheaper?

I think you can get just as good ones cheaper. I thoughy only GHDs would straighten my hair but as I couldn't afford them I bought a different brand and they work fine

£100 isn't really worth it, you could probably find the same type for about £60 maximum.

Hm, I have a wet2dry straightener. I generally use it on my hair when it's straight, and I have curly hair and it works really well I don't know how much it costs in the UK though :P

I think they are overpriced and you can find something that works better. Try and find one that has ceramic plates, those are better for your hair and work very well.

My GHD works pretty well. I'm not sure about other brands though sorry.

Personally I find when I use them my hair goes all lifeless and my fringe won't stay... I prefer my cheaper Nicky Clarke ones because it keeps my hair cool and I think it's good they don't get as hot because it only causes hair problems. I have uber curly hair, and I don't really have time to do it all but they work wanders on my fringe
