Cheek Piercings - September 15th 2010, 07:06 PM

What are your thoughts on cheek piercings? I'm getting mine done sometime soon. Hopefully at the same tattoo convention I'm getting my half sleeve at. It all depends on if the piercer I want to do it is going to be there. I already have my nose pierced and the left side of my lip.

Here's a picture of Pixie in case some people don't know what cheek piercings are!

Oh I find cheek piercings so fun and I love them. I have thought about getting them. But the thing is, you have to be extremely careful about how you get them done and such because if pierced wrong the glands in your cheeks could be busted and you can have bad breath all the time and nothing will make it go away.
Me and my ex hung out at a tattoo shop all the time because his friend worked there and we became friends with the tattoo artistes and the piercers and the piercers were the one that told me you have to be careful because I told him my interest in it.

I would do your research on it and make sure it is something that you truly extremely want because it can be done wrong and if it does get done wrong, I wouldn't want you to have to go through what you have to go through.

But like I said I have NOTHING WHAT SO EVER AGAINST THEM.

I think it suits her because of her dimple. If she didn't have a dimple I doubt it would look as cute.

I think the piercing made the dimple. Or atleast majorly enhanced it.

Ashley- I've done my research and I know all about them I'm friends with several tattoo artists and piercers and will hopefully be apprenticing there at the shop soon. The only female tattooer at the shop has cheek piercings too.

I know all about the parotid gland and issues with the piercing there. That's why I said I'd do it only if the piercer I want to do it is at the convention. His name is James Rajewski from Chicago and he is hands down the best piercer in the country. He's one of the guys that teaches everybody else how to do the harder piercings.

I'm not so fond of them either, but I think it's because it looks like a big dimple to me. I have a little dimple on the right side of my face, and I hate it. So that might be why I don't like them. Haha!
But if you like them, and you know what you want, then I wish you all the best!

i think they're absolutely hideous and look quite gross actually. each to their own though, i guess. hope you like it anyways, that's what matters.
