Do it myself :D - September 16th 2010, 08:51 PM

I had my ears pierced 3 times, they healed up, so if i wanna wear 3 i just re-pierce them. I also have my nose pierced and my lower lip done once. But i have this big obsession with them. It's like i'm hooked on piercings

I've had a look on Ebay and i've found kits to do it yourself so i'm gonna buy one for my other lip, scaffolding, wrist, belly, nipple and tongue
It may take a while and i might change my mind on a few but i just want everything done so i can just say that i have I love the pain. I also want a tattoo but i can't find anyone to do one for me underage. Bit pissed at that because everyone my age has one

The first thing i'm gonna buy is a piercing gun though as it's really cheap and the easiest thing to do. Gonna do all of my ear with it Yay me!

I wouldn't recommend piercing yourself, especially as you have no training or experience with it. A lot of the piercings you mentioned need to be done professionally because there is a risk of nerve damage if it doesn't go exactly right. I would really suggest you get it done by a professional, it's worth the money if it ensures your health!

I completely agree with Jen here. Definitely get it professionally done, and don't do it yourself! It can go horribly wrong. And if you're re-piercing old holes, I think that's twice as worse, and more painful due to scar tissue.

Seriously, go get it done professionally.

Yeah... peircing yourself is a bad idea as you're inexperienced. Especially since you're planning on piercing various parts of your ear with a piercing gun? That's just not how it's done and is in no way safe. No decent piercer would ever do that. So please find a professional before you do some severe irreversable damage. Piercings may just seem like simple holes through flesh, but a lot more goes into it than that.

To echo everyone else, that is an awful idea. Piercing your own ears? I don't recommend it, but its not dangerous. But piercing your own nose, lip, bellybutton, etc. is just, so risky. Especially your lip, though. Do you realize if you hit the wrong spot, you can paralyze your face?!

Its not worth infections, keloids, pains, and even possible facial paralysis, to save a few bucks.

oh for gods sake don't do this. do you really want some messed up infected piercing that turns into a keloid scar on your body? :/ you have no training in piercings and do not know what you're doing.

buying a piercing kit of Ebay does not mean you are capable of safely piercing yourself. a) you're buying it off Ebay. first clue there.. how the hell do you even know where that shit is coming from and if its sterile, etc?.. b) you don't know what you're doing anyway.

you're asking for problems. just don't do it. save up your money and get it done properly.

I am going to echo everyone else on this. It is a very bad idea to pierce yourself. You can get infections, paralyze something, get keloid scars, etc.

Buying a piercing kit off Ebay is not a good idea.
1. You don't know how to use it.
2. You don't know where it came from.

I encourage you to save your money and get pierced professionally.
