I don't have one, but I rode the bus with a girl who had literally JUST gotten hers done. She said it didn't hurt at all and the rumor that you hear the needle going through was untrue. Everyone has different pain thresholds, though, so you might be different.

"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it.
I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote,
“Dear Jim: I loved your card.”
Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.”
That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.
He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."

Honestly, I got mine done, and it was the most painful piercing I ever got. I've had my Industrial done, cartilage hoops, ear lobes, navel, and nose, and the Traguses hurt the most.

Healing time, not sure. I think the average is 6-8 weeks until you can change jewelry, and 6 months or so until complete healing.

Just got it done and I can say it didn't hurt m one bit. Was nervous for nothing. Go back in four weeks to get I checked and if it's all ok then he will change it for me. My leaflet says 12 wkd to heal

If you sleep on that side of your head, it's going to take longer to heal. Try not to play with it either, cuz that will make it take longer too.

i got mine done about 9 months ago. i didn't hurt at all really. but i'd say yes you can hear the sound of the needle going through your skin. i changed the jewelry after 2 weeks and i'd say about 3 months til it was fully healed.

I have my tragus pierced. It honestly didn't hurt getting it done. It's just a lot of pressure. Though it depends on the person. I found it hurt a lot more afterward then actually getting it done. My piercer told me it takes around 4 to 9 months to heal completely. I think you should go for it, I love mine!
