I would like to get my septum pierced. Questions :)

I'm 16, and would like to get my septum pierced. My parents are pretty much against most forms of body modification other than the normal one lobe piercing in each ear. I've heard and seen people hide their septum piercings by pushing them into their nose for work or school, and I was wondering whether this is still noticeable enough for my parents to see. Also, would a piercing studio be legally allowed to pierce me without parental permission? ( I live in the UK ) If you could tell me what you paid, or if you know how much someone else you know paid, then that would be extremely helpful, too. Any help would be greatly appreciated

So I'm pretty sure the piercing age almost anywhere, without parental consent, is 16 (unless its a genital piercing or something). Also, my friend has her septum pierced, and keeps it tucked in for work, and you can't tell she has it. I also had a friend before who had his septum pierced, and I didn't know it until he let it down. So you could most likely get it done without it being noticed, depending on the kind of jewelry they use too.

However, my friend who has hers done said it was her most painful piercing. Though it isn't too bad for healing, its apparently quite painful to get done. So I suggest you think deeply about this before you do it.

they are supposed to be pretty painful. But I have also heard that they barely hurt.
One big thing is, even if you can get it done legally without your consent, they'll have to know. You can't flip it up to hide it until after it's healed. (i don't have my septum pierced and I'm not sure what happens when you do hide it, but that's what I've heard from everyone else)

Not true, Strife. My friend had hers flipped up, the piercer actually told her she should flip it up right after she got it pierced. She can flip it up or down perfectly fine.
