Tongue - What size bar ? -

Im shopping for tongue bars ready for when Im able to change it. Im getting it changed on Wednesday (my first bar change) I dont want a really big bar in so which size would be ideal.
There seems to be more 12mm than 10mm does this mean the 12 is better to go with ?

I've seen a lot of 14g tongue rings, but you should still ask your piercer just to be safe.
