I know what tattoos I'm getting. -
September 2nd 2011, 02:24 AM
I'm not going to get anything big, unlike what I thought I would get.
I'm going to get 3, starting out. A small smiley face, like : ) only face up, The words "Stay strong." in cursive on my ankle, and "To write Love on her arms." on my wrist. The italics would be cursive, and it'd look a lot better than that, Just saying. xD I wrote it out, and I love it. I may even get "To sir with love" on my other hip, but I'm debating that one. Too much love goin' on? But yeah, those three I'm totally getting as soon as I turn 18. I'll probably save the wrist one (my favorite ;__; ) Until I move out, because my mom would freak if she saw I got a tattoo. But the hip and foot ones I can hide easily. So yeah. (: |

Thanks! It's a little different than what I'll actually get, but this is a picture of the one I wrote for my wrist.

Tattoos are expensive, remember that. I remember when I turned 18 I was like oh this is awesome, but the artist usually doesn't care the size of it, it's about time. Minimum charge is usually around 80 or 100 dollars (canadian), and so if you get a tattoo that takes 10 minutes, it's gunna cost you 100 bucks. See if the artist will do 2 of them at one time, but also be careful who you go to. My first tat I got done by my friend (who is an artist), and she did a crappy job, but I went to her becasue of the discount. I ended up spending another 100 dollars on it to get it re-done by someone who knew what they were doing.
Wrist tats are also hard because of the skin that wrinkles there. Every time you use your arm during the healing process, a scab will crack or rip. Just be aware of that good luck !! Jenn Jen Buddy Proud Mama of 2 Adopted Dogs Koda- Shepherd/Malamute Penny- Lab/Redbone Coon Hound ![]() |

I got a tattoo on my inner wrist, and the bending didn't really affect the healing process.
Jen is right though, just be mindful of that area during healing. Also, they can get pricey. Mine cost 60 dollars. I love your tattoo ideas though! ![]() I was looking for a breath of life For a little touch of heavenly light But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh |

your ideas are great! i would recommend having it a little further down your wrist tho as the creasing skin wont be too much of an issue then. it will also be easier to hide as quite a few employers dont like tattoos on show x

My artist said if you crinkle up your wrist (bend your hand foreward), you should get a tattoo after all the big wrinkles stop. I have a friend and she got it right on her wrist and when it was healing, a scab cracked and it just didn't heal properly, and she got it touched up and it looks fine, but it's annoying to have to go back for touchups.

I got a tattoo on my wrist and the guy refused to do it above the wrinkles so mine had no cracking or scabbing or anything like that. It looks really neat.
BTW, I love the idea for your wrist tattoo and I love the TWLOHA movement.

I'm glad to hear you have made some tattoo decisions. I can never seem to do that.

Haha thanks.
I will! Can't for another few months though, until I turn 18. My mom would freak if she found out I got a tattoo, so I can't get consent from her when I'm underaged, so gotta wait until I'm not a minor. Phooey. I want to get them now, goshdarnit! |
