Angel Bites and Ear Stretching! -

Ahh! So excited! About 5 hours ago I got my left side monroe and as many of you know I already had my right side so now I have one of my dream piercings: Angel bites! Also last night I started stretching my ears, both are currently at a 14 gauge since I just started and I'm in no hurry, and I'm not going higher than an 8 gauge anyway, lolz. So I'm waiting until Feb 1st to stretch up to a 12.
I'm not going to lie, the monroe piercing hurt, which I didn't expect since my first one about 5 months ago didn't hurt at all. It was like 2/10 on pain but this one was like 6/10. It really hurt, but it was worth it. And the ear stretching hurt too but my holes were at the most an 18 gauge so it's skipping 16 since they don't make 16 gauge tapers or stretching stuff. Really happy with all of these though. And of course I'm including a pic of my angel bites below

The angel bites look nice.
Actually, you really shouldn't skip sizes although since you are at such small guages I guess it's okay. When I first started stretching, I still went to 16s, I bought the jewelry and popped it in. Make sure to wait at least 2 weeks before stretching to the next size, and to make it hurt less, do it while taking a nice hot shower. Yeah I've tried to learns as much about stretchingas possible before doing it. Yeah I massage them and use tons of baby oil. They don't hurt now unless they catch on something and my lip is swollen now but that's to be expected. Either way I'm happy with both of these

I ALWAYS wanted to get my monroe done, but since I'm looking for a new job, I figured I could wait until I found a job that is a little bit lenient on facial piercings!
The Monroe's look fantastic on you. You definitely pull it off well! As for stretching, make sure you wait a least 2-4 weeks before going to the next size! I know a friend who gauged their ears, and they said it was pretty painful for them so they had to quit. Everyone's pain tolerance is a different, so try to do some research by calling local tattoo & piercing places nearby. Maybe even the place who did your Monroe piercings. They could give you excellent advice on how & when stretching can be done, the safest ways to do it, and how they should be cared for to make sure there is no infections! That just made my day And yeah, I've talked to Jayson (the local piercer who I get mine from) and I'm going to wait a month in between just to be safe but I'm waiting longer than a month for these so I can just remember to stretch on the first of every month so I'm waiting until Feb. 1st to stretch up again, then it'll be a month between each so it's always on the first.

How big do you plan on going? I had mine up to 5/8's which was preaty big for me! I loved em though so i might gauge up again. At that size they healed up to about a 2 or so and thats where they stayed. So just keep that in mind if you go beyond 0.
Any who i think you pull off that Angel bytes very well! Things do get better in time. I used to believe that things would never get better. But after many long years things are looking up! The angel bites look great! I want them but I am not too sure yet...
And with stretching, I am currently 00g (10mm) in one ear and it's better to take it slow. I went a bit fast once and it killed and got infected a bit for a while. To keep away infections, make sure to do sea salt soaks everyday. Not only does that keep them clean, it takes away pain

Yeah for right now I plan to go up to an 8 gauge I may go higher but I have no plans of actually going to a 0 until I'm in a stable job that I've been in for a while. And thanks Melody, I didn't know about the sea salt soaks helping with pain.

And dont use alcohol based cleaners, they dry piercings out, and massage your lobes with vitamin e oil or emu oil. My ears are at half an inch. any questions, feel free to pm me.
