Won a Poetry Contest! - June 6th 2012, 10:19 AM

So my library hosted a poetry contest, and I won for my year in school this actually happened a while ago, but I wanted to post it here.
Anyways, I was kind of surprised. The poem theme had to be "art," and I don't usually do good with writing about more light topics. I was sitting at the library for a little while and figured, "What the heck, I'll enter," and wrote something there on the spot. I did very little revision, and I honestly didn't think the poem was very good, haha. But I won!
Tomorrow there's gonna be a ceremony at the library for the winners. Hopefully I don't have to recite the poem, haha.
Anyway, I'm just really happy about this

Congrats on winning the poetry contest, that's wonderful!! And quite an accomplishment.
You should post your open in Self Expression if you haven't already, I'd love to read it!
