Change of lifestyle = 100% Happier Me! - September 16th 2013, 07:26 PM

I'm climbing out of an eating disorder all on my own, and it's been tough, but I seem to have finally found my niche. I've been eating Paleo (no grains or sugar or dairy or processed food) for four days, and already my energy levels are up, I'm sleeping better, my muscles are rebuilding, my stomach-aches have gone away, and my self-confidence is surprisingly enough through the roof.

I can eat a meal, a snack, whatever: I feel fine about it. What's more, I tried running again, and I went three hours without stopping. It had been so long since I had the energy to run like that! I even played Just Dance with my little brother for the first time in months, learned to play yard football with my little cousin, and I still had the energy to keep moving. Recovery times from running are now sitting upright and chattering to my mother about whatever, when before I used to fall on the floor and have to peel myself off of it thirty minutes later.

My thigh muscles are rebuilding, and because the minimal extra layer of fat under my skin hasn't been spent yet, my old jeans still won't fit. I'm gonna have to buy curvy fit jeans, and I'm not even crying about it. I feel like I could take on the world.

Oh, and I got my hair cut into a bob. It looks amazing, and I love showing it off.

Anyway, I feel great.

Congratulations on making such huge progress! You should be extremely proud of yourself for all that you have achieved so far; I have doubt that with the sort of momentum you seem to have generated you will only go on to achieve even more.

Congratulations! You've made some amazing progress. As someone who has struggled with an eating disorder, I know how difficult it is to come as far as you have. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. The best part of it is the fact that you're going to keep moving forward. You're on an incredible road to recovery, girl!

Thanks, everyone! I'm still doing great. ^_^

And, on top of this, I somehow managed to get a date with a guy I used to have a crush on in high school. I'm a complete nervous wreck, but it's a good nervous, lol.

You go girl! I don't even know you and I'm still so proud I can tell just by reading this that you are making the right chioces for you! and sometimes that's one of the hardest things to do. Also be careful you don't push yourself too hard right away, let your body adjust gradually(just cuz I'm a worrier too) Just do what feels right!
