Aww really nice talk with mum - January 13th 2009, 07:44 AM

I had a really miserable day yesterday, being on the house by myself is getting me down.
Mum's been trying to get to to give in job applications and ring people at college and I was shouting at her all evening.

Then last night when everyone else was in bed she started talking to me saying how proud she was of me, that she never knew me at all until now and how special that is to her. Also that she feels like we're more like friends than mother and daughter and she can talk to me and we can have a laugh, she's amazed to see everything I'm doing now such as getting a job, starting college, getting places by myself, and more importantly start to enjoy life.

This was all too much so I started crying! She's hardly ever that open and I love it when she is, tho usually its because she's worried about me, not the opposite.

I'm so pleased that she said that, it made me so happy.

I am so glad that you are your mum were able to talk openly. It must feel so much better to have cleared the air after shouting at each other yesterday. You sound like you have come a long way and you should be so proud of yourself to have got to where you are now! Hold onto the happiness and keep smiling :-)

Aww Hannah, your post brought a smile to my face :]
I bet it was a huge relief for you, that you and your mum patched things up after the row, and especially the things she said to you, it's what every daughter wants to hear
Well done you, you've come along way and most definitely should be proud of yourself by the looks of things.
Take care x

& it's just like she's in another world.
