I feel reborn

I stood up against someone I love. For the sake of my own heart. I've never been able to do that before.

I guess after someone betrays you enough times, it gets old, and you learn you are more important than they are.

I still care. A lot. Just, I'm not gonna put my heart into someone that just throws my heart around. I think I've finally learned to take care of my own heart.

I dont know if I did something right. But everything seems to be going very well. The same day I learned to take care of my heart, several old friends (I can't believe they still had my number, after everything) texted me, and they want me back in their life.

It just amazes me, as if I did something right for once, and I'm being rewarded. I feel strong now, I feel like I can take things that come my way.

It hurts to let go, but it feels amazing to have control of your own heart.

I'm not afraid to live, I'm not afraid to dream, I'm not afraid to cry, I'm not afraid to stand firm anymore.

Hey Bert,
You should be proud of being able to find the strength to stand up to someone you care about. You do need to think about yourself and what's best for you. Hopefully this helps start a positive change in your life.

I hope you take the opportunity to reconnect with your old friends! It's nice to know they were thinking about you, even after the time that's gone by.
