TeenHelp....I realised i should be making more friends on here, Its actually a bigger part in my life than i thought.

5 Years on here and not a single person on my MSN from TeenHelp, Yet people are so understanding and helpful, People respect me for my bad and good and dont judge me on my awful experiences and while i do seem deppressed all the time, im not, i just have low moments and TH gets the brunt of them, I would love to get to know people on TH so please dont be afraid to talk and add me.

I Think each and every person on this forum are great, i want to personally thank the Mods, Admins and all the people who make TH what it is.

Hey I know what you mean.

It can be hard to make friends on TH sometimes. Well, actually, it's not hard to MAKE friends, it's hard to keep them, because online friendships are difficult to maintain. My advice is to not be afraid to just talk to people. A lot of times you have to be the one who initiates the conversations; go to someone's profile, and send them a random VM just saying hey :] A lot of people really appreciate that.

I'm glad you've found TH helpful and that you've been a member here for so long! I think that's really great.

I agree with you. TeenHelp is amazing, as are the people on it. :]
I used to have a hard time making friends on TH. But I realized that all you really have to do is reach out and talk to other people. I know that I get extremely happy whenever I get a notification and I'm sure it's like that with most people as well.

TeenHelp plays a pretty big part in many peoples' lives, and there are so many wonderful people on here. But it can be easy to pass each other by in the forums (like passing people by in the hallways at school), and never really talk to them, which is a shame.

You want to thank all the people who make TH what it is? Well, I want to thank you for making this thread. It's threads like these that make me love TH even more (I know! I didn't think that was possible either ), because sometimes you forget how much of an impact TH makes on some of its members.

You sound like a really cool person, and I'd love to get to know you some more.

I find it nearly impossible to make friends here, same as in general online (and sadly irl too). I mean, plenty of people say things like "PM me anytime" or that they're lonely and would like friends, but even then I worry whether they actually want me to PM them, or they're just being nice, or if they'd find me really boring or annoying if I did.

Still, I'm the sort of person who loves friends and company and would be honestly more than happy to be anyones friend. Makes me wonder how many people are the same but would avoid me too because they don't want to bother me. The fact a lot of people here are shy or have low confidence makes it tricky I guess.

Anyway, have to agree TH is a really awesome place and best of luck making lots of friends here. Making a topic about it was a good idea, after all it's good for the community here to be open with each other. I'm sure many of us could do with a friend or two.

I'm exactly the same!! I've been here three years but still find it hard getting to know people, I don't have any close friends from TH, even though everyone is lovely (:
My advice would be to go into the chatroom more...I used to a lot and I amde loads of friends there; it's really easy to get to know people then!! (: xox

I go on the forums here a fair amount and have been here a little over a year and yet only have 2 TH 'friends' who I think I have spoken too only once or twice.

I was the same way, for like, over a month. I just... basically sat idly by, and I had a couple online friends who transferred over from another chat that closed, where I went through the same thing. I mean, you just gotta, try to jump in I guess. It's like playing Double Dutch on the playground, just gotta jump in and either blend right in, or fumble and try again. *Shrugs*
