Daddy Update! -

Many of you know that my Daddy is facing lung cancer. It's having a HUGE effect on my family, but we got some good news today.
He had his mediastinoscopy to check and see if his lymph nodes were affected by the cancer last week. He had an appointment today to get the results and they came back NEGATIVE which means those lymph nodes are NOT cancerous! YAY! The doctor said that meant his chances of survival increased dramatically because of the results... ALLELUIA! So now... It's on to treatment. Starting at the end of this week (or beginning of next week at the latest), he will start 5.5 weeks of radiation therapy - 15 minutes per day, every day. He will also have 2 rounds of chemotherapy, about 3 weeks apart from each other. After the radiation and chemo, they will then hopefully be able to perform surgery on the lung to get the tumor removed and it will hopefully be over with after that. Things are starting to look up and part of my worry has gone away. Please continue to pray for him and my family as we move on to the next step in getting him better.
