Stressful, but good week. -
August 24th 2011, 10:35 AM
So I got my report today. We're marked on about 10 or so different things for each subject. I do three and I got almost all A's, with two B+'s.
Most people take four classes but I'm doing a uni extention course thing along side my other classes. I recently got my first assignment from the second semester back from it and got a 79% distinction (1% off a high distinction... how annoying is that? Hah). I've got a lot of stuff due and I was really stressed out at the start of the week but now I feel like I'm on top of it. Then next tuesday I go to Melbourne for ten days with my sister on a holiday. Yay I never go anywhere. And this week I applied to a few different universities. So glad to have that out of the way. I do humanities subjects mostly because I've always sucked at math. Since I didn't do a math course during year 11 or 12 I had to take a test so that I would get my proper qualifications to leave school with (you need a numercy, literacy and ICT tick). I was really freaked out about it but I got my marks back today. I passed! I was the only person ever in my college to pass it. This year has been so awesome. Great friends, I'm doing well, I'm happy. When I think that two years ago I was basically at home all the time after dropping out of school (for a whole year), I can't believe how far I've come (not to sound on myself). I couldn't even write an essay before going to my current school. I got awful marks on everything. The school I go to now is fantastic, I never thought I'd say that about a school
To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget
