Agh! Can't stand the wait! -

Well, since my boyfriend "cheated" on me, I've been quite down in the dumps -- mainly because I felt guilty for cussing at him. I apologized to him via my good friend Hannah -- seeing how we were both ignoring each other. Well, as it turns out, he thought that I didn't want to see him anymore, because I hadn't spoken to him for a week -- thanks to stupid school preparations and a wonderful visit to Richmond (to see my cousin!
 ). Which, I must admit, sounds like a perfectly reasonable explanation to me.Anyway, as I suspect (sort of!) that he still has feelings for me after our big misunderstanding, I asked Hannah to casually ask him whether he still likes me or not. Now I just have to wait for her to get on Facebook to tell me what she found out, and the wait is getting to me.  And I've made three new friends since school started, and managed to keep track of my old ones! So, I'm good! I'm having a wonderful school year already, despite terrible lunches, a (partially) deaf aunt who happens to be a cook at my school, and all else that has occurred. Wonderful week, so far!

There is no good explanation for your boyfriend to cheat on you and he should be the one apologizing. I just thought I should clarify that to you.
But anyways besides that, I'm glad everything else in your week is going well.

Well, he apologized nicely. And I myself have talked to him about it, and judged him to be sincerely sorry -- and mistaken, as I was. He honestly thought I dumped him, which I can kind of get, because I cancelled our date, then didn't talk to him for two weeks straight.
He apologized to me, I apologized to him, and as I see it, we both now have a clean slate. We aren't dating again quite yet, but talking as we did before -- he knows he needs to regain my trust before he can ask me to be his girlfriend again. So. Yeah. I'm entirely at ease with the situation, and actually quite overjoyed at it. It takes a long time to grow an old friend. - John Leonard |
