Good Things Do Come to Those Who Wait. - September 23rd 2011, 03:49 PM

Wow. Just wow. This week started off bad, but I won't talk about that here. What I will talk about is starting from Wednesday, which is when my week started being absolutely amazing.

On Wednesday, I was having trouble with a physics question, and went to see my teacher. Which would normally be not so awesome. But I felt better when my teacher also could not get the online homework to accept what he calculated as the right answer. So he just gave me credit for it. After physics I walked outside the building to see my best friend sitting there waiting for me - he came to school early just so I would have someone to hang out with on my hour and a half long break. We decided on going to the library, and I ended up running into my twin...we're not really related but we constantly get mistaken for each other and our personalities are nearly identical. She was going to study and socialize with a friend of hers and invited me and my best friend to come along so we did. The four of us had an awesome time, and I made a new friend! I've never really been part of a nice social group so this is exciting for me. We agreed we would do that every Monday and Wednesday from now on, since somehow all our breaks line up perfectly.

My twin texted me later asking me to go to Ren Faire with her and to go to paintball near the end of October. I accepted straight away on Ren Faire and gave her a maybe on paintball. She stayed up late last night looking at costumes and we made shopping plans together for this weekend to hit all the salvation armies in town looking for the perfect things. She also informed me that yes, I can bring my sword with me if it has a blunt tip (which it does), and I have an extra sword so we're going with dresses and swords. The most perfect costume. She also gave me some advice about the guy I like, which I found ultra helpful.

So, Thursday. Thursday I have my set of boring classes, but my best friend and I had a little bit of a contest to see who was better at finding who. He found me twice, I only found him once. I went home and got a call from my fencing coach, who said he was taking his dance class out to a restaurant to try their hand at dancing, would I like to join them? Well sure, so I left for that and had a nice time dancing with the coach and a friend of mine from fencing lessons who had to back out of our classes due to a schedule change. I got home late and of course signed on right away, to be greeted by the guy I've had a massive crush on for a while now We're talking for a bit and he keeps on offering me boyfriend related objects, of course I eventually complain about not having a boyfriend. Our conversation from that point:

Me: Will you stop shoving boyfriend related objects in front of a girl without a boyfriend?
Him: You do have a boyfriend.
Me: ...not last I checked.
Him: Check again. I've been trying to find a cute way to tell you all night!

I was so insanely happy! And then he sent me this adorable picture where he's pretending to eat a piece of paper and on the paper it says that he misses me (we live too far away to see each other a lot). We set our official date for the 23rd, so we made today our 0 day anniversary. I still feel like I'm floating. This is so unreal!!!

In conclusion, good things do come to those who wait, because I waited for a more active social life and I got one. I waited for Josh, and now I have him too. Everything going great in my life I worked for and then waited for...and it all paid off I'm so happy!
