Hey guys!
Many of you know that my dad has been in the hospital. He was diagnosed with lung cancer back in June and has been a fighter the entire time. After radiation and chemotherapy, he was approved to have his affected lung removed. Yesterday, he had the lung removal surgery - everything went very well! He had minimal bleeding, no strange reactions, and best of all... He is now CANCER FREE! Recovery is going well. I'm sitting in the hospital right now; he's resting at the moment. He's had minimal pain and discomfort and is on a liquid diet (which should change tomorrow). So far, so good! “Don't get too comfortable with who you are at any given time. Aw that's good!!! I'm so glad for you! Everyday I'm worried if my mom will get lung cancer because she smokes

New milestone set today!
Dad was able to start eating solid foods and they removed the BP cuffs from his legs. He had been propped up in the bed for a good portion of the morning, and around noon, they moved him to sitting in a chair. He said it was uncomfortable, but he ended up falling asleep in the chair. :P Hopefully tomorrow they'll be able to get him up and start him walking.
