So, yesterday was National Coming Out day, and after I went to give blood (which they rejected me from cuz my iron levels are lower than healthy lol), Kendra (my girlfriend) and Sarah (my cbff, college-bff) came to my dorm, and I called my dad and told him I'm gay. He and myself aren't finished with the conversation, but he wasn't exactly okay with it at all. BUT, he didn't start screaming at me like expected, so I guess that's a plus?
THEN, I went on facebook, opened up my relationship status and "interested in" to ALL my friends, and posted as a status that I was coming out as a lesbian, and I'm proud of it. More than 40 people liked it, including friends from Jesus Camp, family members, high school and college friends, and even exboyfriends and their parents! I'm SO happy I have so many people supporting me

Congrats on taking that step and putting it out there. I know I wish I had the courage to, but questioning agian. Sorry things didn't go even better with your dad, but like you said you expected him to stat screaming.
