Just Kept Getting Better - March 18th 2012, 05:54 PM

Yesterday was one of the best days I have had in a while. It just seemed like every couple hours, something got better. I started off the day with track practice, and I got to do my favorite workout and it felt wayyy easier than it should have been given the speed I was doing. It was perfect weather to run as well. I got home, went to get a haircut, and when I came back, the weather was still nice so I figured, hey, why not go run again. So I went and ran another 3 miles at a pretty fast pace and had no problems with it (I have had shin problems for like 2 weeks and haven't been able to run miles, only workouts).

So I felt great already from having done 7.5 miles on the day, and I am just chilling for a while on the computer, watching tv, etc. My dad tells me I have mail from UMD College Park (my now top choice after getting rejected from MIT, which I saw coming) informing me that I got a full scholarship through a program that I interviewed for about 2 weeks ago. So now I am super excited because I no longer have to pay for college, which is sweeet.

If that wasn't enough to make my day great, I found this news out about an hour before I went over to my girlfriend's house. Her mom only lets me come over like once every 3 weeks, so it is a big deal for us when I can come over. I was really excited to go over her house because we have talked the past week or so about things becoming a bit more sexual. We start watching a movie, but half an hour in, we just end up making out and things got carried away from there. Her mom interrupted us twice, but we were able to cover it up so her mom couldn't tell. This was the first time either of us ever did anything sexual with another person, so it was exciting and new, and we both really liked it.

By the time I had left, I was exhausted from her and we were both satisfied. I went home and then proceeded to talk to her on Skype for another 2 hours. Just seemed like my day got better and better everywhere I looked. Oh, what a great day!

Congrats on the scholarship, that's wonderful! I'm glad you had a good day, and good job with all of that running you did

And here you are living, despite it all.

Congratulations on your scholarship, even if that school wasn't your first choice I'm glad you had such an amazing day!
