Personality Testing - November 3rd 2012, 09:38 AM

I was told about this site by a friend and I took it and it was insanely accurate, yeah yeah, online tests know shit but it is quite interesting to do when bored and I have recommended this to a few of my friends and we had a good laugh about our results.

http://www.personalitytest.net/cgi-bin/q.pl

Have fun guys.

P.S I got INTJ quite happy with it.

Jay.

ENFP "Journalist". Love novelty and surprises. They are big on emotions and expression. Life is an exciting drama. They are good at sales, advertising, politics, and acting. 5% of the total population.

I don't know it doesn't sound like me.

Re: Personality Testing - November 3rd 2012, 10:52 AM

Hmmmm, that is weird, all three of my friends received that to. I'm glad I got something different, mine is actually accurate.

INFJ: "Author". Strong drive and enjoyment to help others. These are
serious students and workers who really want to contribute. They
make good therapists, general practitioners, and ministers. 1% of
the total population.

The INTJ personality type is one of the rarest and most interesting
types – comprising only about 2% of the U.S. population (INTJ
females are especially rare – just 0.8%), INTJs are often seen as
highly intelligent and perplexingly mysterious. INTJ personalities
radiate the aura of intuition and self-confidence. This self-
confidence, sometimes confused with simple arrogance by less
insightful personalities, has a very specific nature – it stems from
a huge archive of knowledge spanning many different topics and areas.
INTJs usually begin to develop that knowledge in early childhood
(the “bookworm” nickname is quite common among INTJs) and keep on
doing that later on in life.
When someone with the INTJ personality has mastered their chosen
area of knowledge (INTJs can find their strengths in several fields),
they can quickly and honestly say whether they know the answer to a
specific question. INTJs know what they know and more importantly –
they are confident in that knowledge. Unsurprisingly, this
personality type can be labelled as the most independent of all
types. INTJs are very decisive, original and insightful – these
traits push other people to accept the INTJ’s ideas simply because
of that sheer willpower and self-confidence. However, INTJ
personalities do not seek nor enjoy the spotlight and may often
decide to keep their opinions to themselves if the topic of
discussion does not interest them that much.
INTJ personalities are perfectionists and they enjoy improving ideas
and systems they come in contact with. As INTJs are naturally
curious, this tends to happen quite frequently. However, they always
try to remain in the rational territory no matter how attractive the
end goal is – every idea that is generated by the INTJ’s mind or
reaches it from the outside needs to pass the cold-blooded filter
called “Is this going to work?”. This is the INTJ’s coping mechanism
and they are notorious for applying it everywhere. INTJ
personalities question everything, from their own conclusions to
social rules and behaviours. This results in an unusual independence
of mind, liberating INTJ personalities from social expectations,
sentiments and psychological restrictions.
INTJ personalities also have an unusual combination of both
decisiveness and vivid imagination. What this means in practice is
that they can both design a brilliant plan and execute it. Imagine
a giant chess board where the pieces are constantly moving, trying
out new tactics, always directed by an unseen hand – this is what
the INTJ’s imagination is like. An INTJ would assess all possible
situations, calculate strategic and tactical moves, and more often
than not develop a contingency plan or two as well. If someone with
the INTJ personality type starts working with a new system, they
will regard the task as a moral obligation, merging their
perfectionism and drive into one formidable force. In the name of
the project, an INTJ will spare neither himself nor others. Anyone
who does not have enough talent, including the higher ranks of
management, will immediately and likely permanently lose their
respect.
INTJ personalities are also prone to shoulder the burden of making
important decisions without consulting their peers. On the other
hand, INTJs are scrupulously honest, when it comes to assessing each
person’s contribution to the project and they have the gift of
seeing various opportunities where others cannot.
People with the INTJ personality type are naturally great leaders
and excellent strategists, but they willingly give way to others
vying for a leadership position, usually people with extravert
personalities (E personality type). However, such action can be
deceptive and maybe even calculated. An INTJ will retreat into the
shadows behind the curtain, maintaining their grip on the most
important decisions – but as soon as the leader fails and there is a
need to take the steering wheel, the INTJ will not hesitate to act,
maybe even while staying in the background. The INTJ personality is
the ultimate “Man behind the curtain”.
INTJs dislike rules and artificial limitations – everything should
be questionable and open to re-evaluation. They may be idealists
(impossible is nothing) and cynics (everybody lies) at the same time.
Whatever the circumstances, you can always rely on the INTJ to “fill
in” the gaps in the idea – they are most likely to come up with an
unorthodox solution. INTJ personalities take pleasure in devising
unique solutions to difficult problems.
Generally speaking, INTJs usually prefer to work in the area they
know very well. Their typical career is related to science or
engineering, but they can be found anywhere where there is a need of
intelligence, restless mind and insight (law, investigations, some
academic fields). INTJ personalities rarely seek managerial
positions – if they do, this is probably because they need more
power and freedom of action, not because they enjoy managing people.
Every personality type has many weak spots and INTJs are not an
exception. There is one area where their brilliant mind often
becomes completely useless and may even hinder their efforts – INTJs
find it very difficult to handle romantic relationships, especially
in their earliest stages. People with this personality type are more
than capable of loving and taking care of the people close to them,
but they are likely to be completely clueless when it comes to
attracting a partner.
The main reason behind this is that INTJ personalities are both
private and incredibly rational – they find it very difficult to
understand the complex social rituals that are considered part of
the dating game, especially in Western societies. Things like
flirting or small talk are unnatural to them; furthermore, INTJs
(especially females) tend to see typical attraction tactics (such as
feigning disinterest) as incredibly stupid and irrational.
Ironically, INTJs are most likely to attract a partner when they
stop looking for them – this is when their self-confidence starts
shining again. There are few things that are more attractive than
the unrelenting self-confidence that INTJs are known for.

Jay.

ISTJ. Always the same thing.

Quote:
ISTJs are often called inspectors. They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for devotion to duty. Punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ.

ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don't keep their commitments. But they usually keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked, they don't mince words. Truth wins out over tact.

ISJF

Quote:
ISFJs are service and work oriented - very loyal. They are good nurses, teachers, secretaries, and librarians. 6% of the total population.
ISFJs respect established authority and they tend to accept others’ opinions and desires as their own. In work situations, they provide a stable and standardized service. Disorderly situations and constantly changing rules can cause them undue stress. At these times ISFJs need to be more assertive and direct because, owing to their kindheartedness and sensitivity, ISFJs can be taken for granted and even taken advantage of. This can cause them to feel resentment and anger — feelings that the ISFJ has a tendency to deny. If the situation worsens and uncomfortable feelings build up, the ISFJ will begin to feel insecure about their status. Worrying that they are not secure or protected enough, they may become overprotective and excessively nervous about foreboding events. This can cause others to feel resistant or defiant which then contributes to the disorder of the situation.

If stress continues, the ISFJ will experience increasing anxiety. Their fear that things will continue to spin out of control will result in a general feeling of dread and apprehensiveness. They become both wary of change and unrelentingly pessimistic about the future. ISFJs will eventually become immobilized by physical symptoms associated with their anxieties. Providing care for others will become secondary as their own bodily symptoms — resulting from their fears of abandonment — disable to such a degree that they cannot assume their responsibilities. Yet, abandoning service-orientated obligations prevents ISFJs from accessing opportunities that allow them to fulfill their basic needs.

The agreeable nature and quiet personality of INFJs makes them particularly vulnerable to hurt feelings. Distress within close relationships can shatter the INFJ. Like all NFs under stress, INFJs feel fragmented and lost — as if they are acting out a part rather than simply being themselves. This disassociation can be related to physical symptoms for the INFJ, whether real or imagined. Feeling split off from their physical natures, INFJs may become virtually immobilized by repressed feelings.

Although INFJs may feel like remaining still and stationary until the chaos and confusion of a stressful situation dissipates, it would be best for them to actively sort out their needs from others. Being excessively cooperative and agreeable, the INFJ has a tendency to adopt values and beliefs of others as their own. When external conflicts grow, so does the INFJ's sense of personal disharmony. Disassociating themselves from others takes a great deal of effort for the INFJ.

I hate myself because I excited the page and then realized I forgot what type I am. I am either:

INFJ: "Author". Strong drive and enjoyment to help others. These are serious students and workers who really want to contribute. They make good therapists, general practitioners, and ministers. 1% of the total population

or

INFP: "Questor". Idealistic, self-sacrificing, and somewhat cool or reserved. They are very family and home oriented, and have a high capacity for caring. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 1% of the total population.

because the other two don't fit me and I remembered INF something.

I believe this is what I got. I took it like a year ago and I'm too lazy to retake it. Sounds like what I had though and it was pretty accurate for me.

I took similar online tests in the past and the results were INTJ and ENTJ. I think a combination of the two is more accurate as opposed to either one alone.

INTJ:
INTJs are the most self-confident and pragmatic of all the types. Decisions come very easily. These are the most independent of all types. They love logic and ideas and are drawn to scientific research. 1% of the total population.

ENTJ:
The ENTJ's basic driving force and need is to lead. They tend to seek a position of responsibility and enjoy being the executive. 5% of the total population.

I got ENFP, but there are two types and they didn't tell me which so I had to narrow it down myself to "Journalist". I believe to a degree that I AM the journalist and it DOES reflect me but I reckon I was a bit wierded by the questions and how I answered them.

The answers to the questions were complete polar opposites whereas for me, my answer was "both", "depends on the situation" and "in the middle", so I think it could have been inaccurate, because of the questions and answers . I also sometimes had down right no idea what they were talking about.

For example, Question 26. "Would you say that you have more astute observational powers or penetrating insight?" Ah, say what?

Women are women, regardless of sex,
and men are men, in the same respects.

You can be both, or a mix of the two,
or you can be neither, if that's what suits you.

But people are people, whatever their parts,
because what really matters, is inside of our hearts.

Re: Personality Testing - November 11th 2012, 09:35 AM

I got INFP.

INFPs are idealistic, self-sacrificing, and somewhat cool or reserved. They are very family and home oriented, and have a high capacity for caring. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 1% of the total population.

INFPs feel internal turmoil when they find themselves in situations in which there is conflict between their inner code of ethics and their relationships with others. They feel caught between pleasing others and maintaining their own integrity. Their natural tendency to identify with others, compounded with their self-sacrificial dispositions, tends to leave them confused as to who they really are. Their quiet personalities further feeds their feelings of depersonalization. The INFP's quest for self-identity then seems even more alluring — but increasingly impossible to attain.

As with all NFs, the INFP will feel lost and perplexed at stressful times. As stress builds, INFPs become disconnected from their own personality and perceived place in life. They will lose sight of who they are in relation to time and place. They may not make basic observations, while instead they will focus on the more abstract and symbolic meanings of a particular interaction. This can sometimes baffle those who expect more direct communication and a fairly concrete relationship.

blahhhh I always hate taking these tests because I wish I got the personality that's bubbly & outgoing & a people person, but nooo I get this lol. It's true though..idk who I am most of the time. I'm always changing depending on the situation. One minute I'm bouncing around & the next minute I'm quiet & not talking to anyone. too complicated haha

Re: Personality Testing - November 11th 2012, 10:43 AM

I always get ISFJ

Re: Personality Testing - November 11th 2012, 01:20 PM

I get ENFP everytime lol.

ENFP's love novelty and surprises. They are big on emotions and expression. Life is an exciting drama. They are good at sales, advertising, politics, and acting. 5% of the total population.

ENFPs have a tendency to overextend themselves in both their physical and emotional commitments. Their proclivity to procrastinate and to overlook details complicates their circumstances. ENFPs often move on to new ventures without completing those they have already started. Their charming personalities can show signs of irritability and over-sensitivity when their desires to please different people come into conflict. During times of stress, ENFPs feel alienated. They then engage in deceptions that serve to obscure what is occurring within themselves.

The ENFP finds symbolic meanings behind the immediate circumstances. These meanings are construed as foreboding problems when ENFPs are under stress. Having a pervasive feeling of losing control over their own independent identities, ENFPs will feel virtually split apart by intruding circumstances. They will be "besides themselves" and "just not all there" — as if something, or someone, has taken away the essence of who they are. Not feeling like themselves, the ENFP will become subject to their own feelings of shame for being a phony, a fake or an impostor. If stress continues to grow, they may attribute malevolent schemes to others in order to explain away their fears.

Not surprised, but I'm not necessarily happy that I can only be categorized with 1% of the population. I would be fine with that if I was a bit more happy, but I'm not. I had better expect there to be relationship charts

Career section got it right though, I do want to be a novelist, and I've been thinking about being a professor.

What lies ahead is unknown. However, in some times, I've sighted several smooth pavements. I myself am the mender of roads, and it is with these we work on.

INFJ

INFJ's derive enjoyment out of helping others. They are serious students and workers who are eager to contribute. 1% of the total population.
The agreeable nature and quiet personality of INFJs makes them particularly vulnerable to hurt feelings. Distress within close relationships can shatter the INFJ. Like all NFs under stress, INFJs feel fragmented and lost ó as if they are acting out a part rather than simply being themselves.

I got ISFJ, which is TOTALLY me.

ISFJs are service and work oriented - very loyal. They are good nurses, teachers, secretaries, and librarians. 6% of the total population.
ISFJs respect established authority and they tend to accept othersí opinions and desires as their own. This can cause them to feel resentment and anger ó feelings that the ISFJ has a tendency to deny.

Providing care for others will become secondary as their own bodily symptoms ó resulting from their fears of abandonment ó disable to such a degree that they cannot assume their responsibilities. Yet, abandoning service-orientated obligations prevents ISFJs from accessing opportunities that allow them to fulfill their basic needs.
