Some people set up their profiles that way, at least that's my assumption. Since I have not seen or heard of that option and personally like Visitor Messages, I guess I am not 100 percent sure but yeah, I do know what you mean
I think it is just their preference or something

Hey there.
Tay is right. There is a setting in the user control panel that allows you to get rid of the Vistors message tab. Making it so that people can't leave you vistor messages. I don't understand why people do it, because personally. I adore getting VM's and PM's. Hope this helped.

Chances are it's part of their settings (although there's also a small chance it's some kind of glitch, I suppose). It's possible to set it so that people can't VM you, or so that only contacts/moderators can VM you, so that's probably what's happening there.

I think some people do it to avoid getting unwanted VMs. Some people don't like getting VMs out of the blue. I love it, personally. But it annoys some people, or they might want to only have their friends be able to contact them.

I've had issues with people VMing me, so I understand why some people turn it off (for example I'm pretty sure Rob turned them off) and some people dont want conversatioms public but yes there is an option to turn it off.

As everyone else has said, it is part of settings on a person's profile. Some may have them turned off completely, others may have it set so only friends can VM them.

Hope this helped. I'm closing this, but feel free to PM me if you feel it should be reopened.
