Deleting an Old Post - August 5th 2016, 10:52 AM

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I really wasn't sure what place this would fit in.

Is it possible to delete an old post?

Thank you!

Hey there.

Unfortunately, we do not delete or edit a users post unless it is breaking the Terms of Service. You've been around the site for a while, but just in case you forgot this is what the is stated in the Legal Statements of the Terms of Service -
  • The user understands that TeenHelp does not remove or edit the user's account or content in the eventuality that the user regrets submitting it.
There's also a section in the Code of Conduct warning against posting identifying information here.

If it's any help, I looked through the threads you've posted and only gathered vaguely where you might be from and a little bit about a past relationship. I highly doubt anyone will be able to identify you based on what you have posted. I understand it can be uncomfortable (I'm not too happy with some of my old posts), but we have such rules for a reason. I'm sorry if this wasn't what you were looking for and hope it doesn't deter you from reaching out for advice either. Perhaps if you want to get into more detail about a problem your having in the future you can utilize HelpLINK or Live Help. And if you post on the public forums you can be vaguely descriptive (there is a way!).

Best of luck!

“There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them.” — Nikita Gill
