How does the 'ignore user' option work?

Hey,

So, I know when we put a user on ignore list, we cannot see their posts. Does it work the other way as well or can they still see our posts? Can they still see our profile, VMs and such?

Also, does the user realize that they have been put on ignore list or does it like Facebook, put my entire account out of sight for them?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The ignore user feature is one-sided, so you can still see that the person posted, but it hides the content of their posts and gives you an option to show/read it. They can still see your posts, but I don't think they know you've blocked them.

Is there a way to hide my posts and profile from somebody?

You can hide your profile and blog by making it viewable by friends and contacts only, no way to hide posts on the forum.

they might know if they comment on your thread and you reply to everyone else's except theirs. Which kinda sucks, because I'd rather they not know at all. But they can't contact you anyway. Unless they find you in chat before you can ignore them there too, in which case, remember the report option is available too.
