TeenHelp Clock - July 3rd 2018, 12:43 PM

Am I the only one who the clock on TeenHelp is off for? My computer time is 24 minutes behind, but I know the time on my computer is the accurate one. The TeenHelp clock is throwing me way off.

I notice this sometimes and I have noticed that it tends to fix itself after a while. Not sure how that happens or how long it takes. Occasionally it throws me off too but it is something that has been happening for a while so I have ended up getting used to it.

I remember leaving a message on Dez's wall about how TeenHelp was in the New Year half an hour early (we're in the same time zone) and shortly afterwards, the time fixed it self.

I think the TH Clock has always been 24 minutes off for me, as far as I can remember. It used to unsettle me in the beginning, but then I just got used to it and I don't even notice it any longer, lol.

Re: TeenHelp Clock - July 5th 2018, 06:51 AM

Shhhh, don't tell Rob. I'm low-key waiting for it to reach an hour.

I'm not sure why the clock does this, but it ever so slowly increases over time. I like when it's a number ending in five or zero because then I can calculate the actual time easier. If you ever need to know what time TeenHelp currently thinks it is, you can find that at the bottom of the main forums page in a small-ish text on the left hand side. It says "All times are [your time zone]. The time now is [x]."

I imagine Rob or Robin would have an actual explanation for it, but pretty much everyone else is clueless. I suppose you could PM either of them to see what's up and if it can be fixed, but it may not be something that's a high priority right now so just be patient while waiting for a reply. However, since no one else can really provide an answer I'm going to close this thread.

“There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them.” — Nikita Gill
