Exclamation URGGENNTTTT-red light - June 15th 2009, 03:03 PM

so last night i ran a red light and there was a red light camera. i ran it right as the camera was flashing so i know it got a picture. it was in chicago. ok so..
does anyone know how long it takes for them to send the ticket in the mail? and also does the ticket show the date/time? and is there any way that I could possibly not receive the ticket haha?

if you know please respond...im like freaking out

Heya,
First of all, take a deep breath! It's all going to be okay, whether you get a ticket or not. The red light camera capture the following information:
Quote:
The date - The time
- The location of the intersection
- The rate of speed at which the car was traveling
- The amount of time that the light was red before the car passed through the intersection
Electronic devices: how red-light cameras work

I am pretty sure you will get a ticket if the camera caught you, but try not to worry too much. Take this as a learning experience; you'll never do it again

thanks so much! the only problem is it was at 1 30 am and my mom didnt know i had the car out at that time. how long will it be til the ticket comes?

o just kidding it says 1-2 months

Don't worry, my dad once ran a red light and he could swear the camara got him and he didn't get any ticket.
