Denver, CO - July 31st 2009, 07:42 AM

Who knows anything about Denver and the surrounding areas? My dad might be getting transferred to Denver for work so we might be moving! And I'd love any information I could get. :]

Hey Brittney,

I've never been to Denver myself, but I'm sure there will be someone around to give you a personal view on the location.
As always, google is your friend! A quick look on any search engine will give you quite a few results and an abundance of information. Denver Colorado's travel & tourism visitors information bureau website is [here] and it may be of some use to you, in particular. There are also these links which may be able to give some more information about Denver:
The WikiTravel site seems to have quite a lot of useful information.
I hope these help.

Looks like Stephanie gave you enough things to read until you turn 50 But really, those will probably be helpful =]
I've been to Denver a few times- but only during the winter. I mean, I was at a ski place so I didn't go off the mountain much, but it was really lovely. The surrounding were quite nice- the snow was just so beautiful!

You'll have a wonderful white Christmas (or other holiday)

But yes, from what I saw, it was a very outdoorsy place, good views, and everyone I met was really nice!

well it seems like you have enough links to read so ill skip that part.

i live about 1 hour drive south of denver and my dad works up there. he commuttes every day. its not that bad. its just any normal city. but it depends on where you live now. if you live in a really quiet suburb, then it will seem really busy and dangerous. if you live in huge city then it will seem okay. it also depends on exactly what side of the city you move to.
but its okay. you will like it and ajust just like any other place to could move to.
good luck.
