I've got to pack 4months worth of things into a smallish suitcase with only 30kg...

Here are some of the basics:

-2 jeans
-1 other type of pant
-3 shorts
-5-7 shirts
-1-2 long sleeve shirts
-1 dress/skirt+nice top (in case you need something a little nicer?)
-7 underwear
-2-3 bras (including a sports bra)
-2 sets of pajamas
-Toothpaste+toothbrush+floss
-Hairbrush
-Maybe facewash
-Hair ties
-Sneakers
-Tiva type shoes
-Depends but 4 pairs of socks
-Q-tips
-Maybe lotion
-Sunscreen
-2 bathing suits
-One sweatshirt
-One rain jacket
-Bug spray

I am not sure what you are provided with or if you can do a wash, but those are some of the basics. You might want to check the temperature there, too.

Hope you have fun!
-Amy

Get everything you need, then take twice the cash and half the clothes. I have a guidebook that lists that as the cardinal rule of packing. Don't bring clothes that you don't already wear thinking that you'll start wearing them on your trip; you won't. Keep things organized in plastic bags (think Ziplock) so you can immediately find something in your pack. These are also great for putting clothes IN, as they'll stay folded, dry, and pack very flat.

Generally, take about a week's worth of clothing and wear things until they're actually dirty (not just "I wore it once, so I should wash it"). Take things that you can layer, like tank tops, because then you can not only take them off/put them on according to weather, but also make tons of different outfits.

let me light up the sky, light it up for you
let me tell you why, i would die for you
When you whisper, you must be absolutely as sincere as when you scream.
9 out of every 10 problems in relationships can be solved by talking. So why are we so damn quiet?
